Summit of presidents of UNASUR in Argentina, Nestor Kirchner could be appointed as its First Secretary General.
UNASUR Summit next Monday 3rd of May in Argentina
President Cristina Fernandez Kirchner and the President “Pro Tempore” of UNASUR the ecuatorian Rafael Correa will open the UNASUR Summit next tuesday 4th of May.
During the Summit, the UNASUR will proceed to elect the first Secretary General of the group, probably former President Nestor Kirchner. Also, the Summit will review various topics of interest of the 12 member nations.
The agenda will start on monday (May 3rd) at 15.00 pm , in an opening ceremony whose main speaker will be the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina Mr. Jorge Taiana.
The Minister will preside the Council of Foreign Ministers of UNASUR, and they will work on all the details of the presidential summit.
On Tuesday, the Presidential Council of UNASUR and its plenary session will begin at 10.30, one hour later the official photo, and then an official banquet offered by the argentinian President.
UNASUR is formed by Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guyana, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Surinam, Uruguay y Venezuela, and was founded in Cuzco, Peru, on December 8th, 2004.
