Spain Judge Baltasar Garzón Suspended

The Council of the Judicial Power of  Spain decided today to suspend the spanish judge Baltasar Garzón for doing prosecutions not allowed by the spanish law system. The judge cannot act as a Judge until further notice by the Council. Garzón has a 22 years long carrier as Judge in Spain and is famous for prosecuting Gral Pinochet and the argentinian dictators. Garzón sais that “he is innocent”. Many well known spaniards and latinamericans support him. The Hague International Tribunal of Justice invited Garzón to work with them as a legal advicer, but that is also under scrutiny by spanish authorities. Garzón asked for permission to travel to The Hague but the spanish authorities will decide about it in the next days.
