BOGOTA – The colombian candidate Juan Manuel Santos, favorite to win the presidency of Colombia in the second round, proposed to Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez that both countries should rebuild the mutual bonds, informed a report of Reuters.
As it can be seen as a flag of peace from Mr. Santos side , after the president of the neighboring nation envisioned as catastrophic relationship if Santos win the elections , the candidate of the ruling party invited President Chavez to show mutual respect for the ideas and principles of the other side, and to retake the links of what they were once major trading partners.
The colombian political leader of 58 years, also announced its intention to convert Colombia into a great player at international level, such as Mexico and Chile, and reduce dependence on U.S. economic and security support.
