Security forces discovered cocaine ring flying from Argentina to Spain.

A similar Challenger plane was detained in Barcelona last January 2nd.

Two argentine flight pilots Gustavo and Eduardo Juliá were captured by spanish police last January 2nd for trafficking 940 kgs of cocaine. Both pilots are children of the former Head of the argentine Air Force during Carlos Menem’s administration, Jose Julia. Both were detained in Barcelona (Airport El Prat) together with a third pilot, Gastón Miret, son of  the former Planning Secretary during the argentine dictatorship.

Gaston  Miret was the one who hired his country house to former Paraguayan general Lino Oviedo’s where he stayed in Argentina, before his final departure to exile in Brazil.

The air company which tried to enter 940kg of cocaine into Spain last Friday was contracted by the argentinian health organization PAMI for medical flights to Spain. The Medical Jet firm is owned by the Juliá family.

The plane was a Challenger 601.

One of the pilots, Gustavo Juliá , was involved in cases of corruption while he worked as economic and finance manager for the argentinian PAMI.

The spanish authorities believe that this illegal trafficking started long time ago, and that this was not the first shipment.

According to media sources, one of the possibilities is that the pilots loaded the plane with the illegal cargo in a stop in Africa, near the coasts of Senegal.
