Mexico start mega public safety operation against crime.

In the operation, the mexican authorities will involve 310 000 state police and ministerial officials, who aim to break down the crimes that are related to public safety such as theft of vehicles, kidnappings, assaults to public transport, vehicle theft and auto parts, detention of Fugitive Offenders with a warrant, among others.

From Monday 13th until June 19, police in the 31 states of Mexico, including the Federal District (capital) will conduct the first mega security operation agreed by the National Governors Conference.

The head of the government of Mexico City, Marcelo Ebrard, said it aims to address the major crimes that affect citizens and inhibit high impacts such as kidnapping.

They will also  check vehicles with tinted windows.

On June 20th the authorities of the mega public safety operation must submit a detailed report about the  operating results.

This action seeks to attack between 65 and 70 percent of the crimes that most concern the citizens of the nation.
