Homeless and hopeless haitians waiting for aid.
After the earthquake, many countries have assisted Haiti. Some goals have been achieved but the humanitarian needs are still numerous: a) about 700,000 displaced persons in Port-au-Prince b) as the rain and hurrican season approaches, the primary need is for shelter since there are large populations living in two massive tent cities with no proper sanitation and tremendous overcrowding., c) in addition, epidemic diseases such as typhoid and cholera will be spreading in the next six to eight weeks due to poor sanitation conditions maybe malaria too due to the standing water from the coming rains. Many countries are working hard are working to resolve these priority, like the U.S., Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Costa Rica.
