Mexico City .- The recent global economic crisis has affected the flow of undocumented Mexicans who go to work in the U.S., and now this phenomenon has been halved, if it were above 400 thousand a year, now this figure has been reduced to 200 thousand, due to lack of work in that country, said Ana Maria Aragones, a researcher at the Institute of Economic Research, UNAM (National University of Mexico).

In an interview, Mrs. Aragonés said the freason behind this phenomenon is U.S. unemployment which is extremely high, and it reached about 10 percent, and that has affected areas such as construction, occupying basically immigrant labor.

About it, she said that the hispanics unemployment rate was 12.5 percent last year, and in the case of Mexicans is higher, lying at 14.0 percent.
